OverviewIn 1964, the Stout is a vehicle that today is known as Tacoma. In 1969, Tacoma called the Hi-Lux. Not until mid-1990 that took the identity of the current Tacoma. The names have changed and so did the vehicle. These small trucks are now offered with a Double, Access, Xtra or regular taxi and various size trucks.
In a modern Tacoma consumers will get a 2.7-liter inline four, 159 engine joined to a four-speed automatic or five-speed manual tranny or 4.5-liter V-6, 236 hp motor is married with five-speed automatic or six-speed manual tranny. It is offered with rear-wheel and four wheel drive on all trim, including XRunner and PreRunner. This truck even has a TRD supercharged configuration for those who demand off-road capability.

What's NewAll regular-cab 2011 Toyota Tacoma models now come with air conditioning. There are also available Extra Value Package Comfort for Tacoma Double Cab models, with cruise control, sliding rear window, keyless entry, and audio controls on the steering wheel. There is also a new grille - a metal surround with gray bar on the standard model, chrome surround with black bars for the SR5 and Off-Road, and surround with matching body color bars for Tacoma X-Runner.
